Live by the Spirit -> the sinful nature will not be gratified. To live by the Spirit, I must spend time in the word of God. Not just reading, but studying, meditating. I must spend time in prayer. I must be sensitive to what the Spirit is telling, where He is leading me. The sinful nature and the Spirit are in conflict with each other. As a new person in Christ, sin is what I do not want in my life. I want to live by the Spirit.
